Courtney Smith - Assistant Coach
Courtney grew up in Michigan where she played soccer, as well as other sports. In high school, she had to make a decision between soccer and softball. Both sports are played during the same season and though she played on multiple fast-pitch softball teams, her passion was for soccer.
Courtney played club soccer with the Georgetown Rangers and Northwest Screaming Eagles from U-12 until college and was team captain for both teams. She also played varsity soccer for 3 years in high school, where she was a starter all 3 years, and team captain the last year. She was also voted OK-White Conference Honorable Mention.
Currently, Courtney plays in the North Texas Women’s soccer outdoor team for division 2. She also played semi-professional soccer for the Sunrays at Blue Sky in the Colony. She also plays on multiple indoor teams.
Now an Assistant Coach with AFC, Courtney works with the AFC 04 Girls and coaches our Academy Skills Programs. Her passion is to spread her knowledge, skills, and passion for the game to young athletes.
