Coach Scott grew up in Houston, TX and has been involved as a player and coach with soccer for more than 30 years.
After moving to and residing in Europe for more than 5 years, Coach Scott played for various local club soccer teams while residing in Germany, Holland and Hungary. Each country offered a unique opportunity to learn various training attitudes and philosophies, which further fueled his passion and love for the game. After being coached by world-class coaches as a player, Scott’s enthusiasm to learn more about soccer led him to coaching German and American kids (8-12 y/o) in 1994. While coaching and residing in Frankfurt, Germany he helped lead his teams to multiple league championships.
Coach Scott returned to the U.S. and continued to play with local adult and indoor leagues within the Dallas area. He began coaching within the Denton Soccer Association at various levels (U5-U19) for more than 10 years and lead teams to multiple championship seasons and TOC competitions. Scott has held the title of Commissioner and is currently on the Executive Board as the 2nd VP/A&D for the Denton Soccer Association.
Coach Scott currently holds a U.S. Soccer Federation Grade-8 Referee License since 2010.
In 2010, Coach Scott began coaching with AFC where he currently coaches the AFC 04 Girls team. He brings passion, knowledge, patience and a different perspective to the game of soccer.
Coach Scott takes the time to evaluate and work with each parent to identify and improve the individual skills of each player. With other Academy programs pressured into putting results before the needs of their players, Coach Scott sticks to his principles of individual player development!
